1 more sleep til holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I am doing a 'happy dance' today, as I have one more sleep until I can officially 'sleep in'.....HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well sorta....................

My plans? How am I gonna amuse myself ? You ask??? ......... BY DOING NOTHING!!! I'm working most of the first week at the Council School Holiday Program in Geelong (I'm a sucker for punishment), then the second week I'm having 'ME' time, with no plans made yet, I am loving the thought!!!!!

School wise.......Reports went home with no hassles, Interviews went pretty smoothly - no major issues :o)

Next term we are doing a Unit on 'Weather', I cant wait, experiements and all!!!
Home wise.......I'm finding it hard to balance my time lately......between devoting 'me' time (SCRAPPING) and housework.....and school work....... its just so not working.....You clean freaks out there would cringe at the pile of laundry I have at the moment that needs to be put away......'out of sight, out of mind' doesnt work when its in the bedroom getting bigger and bigger!
I finally received my HUGE Love Elsie order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I basically ordered all of the Toby line and most of the Roxie range......yummo!

And I have an idea for how I can scrap with my Roxie pp............ Charm is setting a 'Just for July' challenge, to take a photo everyday and scrap it, I thought I mini album using the Roxie papers would be perfect! I am incorporating another challenge into this album. Elsie has set a challenge, which I found out through Pip's blog to take a photo of yourself everyday for a year. Knowing for me that is virtually impossible, I am going to 'TRY' to do it for the month of July......and journal in the mini album, with the photo, something about me - thoughts, feelings, etc - on that day. Phew!! What a challenge, well for me anyway!

Over at Bon's, we are doing a 'Scrapbooking Chinese Whispers', and I was last in group 3. When it came to my turn, I worked on mine right away to get it up just so I could see how everyones elses were.....the idea of the game/challenge.....Is that the person who starts send a photo of their page to one person....then that person interprets the page into their own version and creates a page and passes it on....and so on and so on......til it gets to the very end of the line (me this time) and then all the pages are slowly revealed one by one! It was great fun, check it out at Bons to see the others!
Here is mine:

Products used: Crate paper pp, Petaloo flower, bazzil bitty blossoms flowers, buttons, Hambly Screen Prints rub ons, Making Memories swatch book rub ons, Chipboard Letter

Also my new Poppy Ink kit is due mind July, I think has more Love Elsie in it!! More Toby stuff, which wont hurt at all :oP Entire kit contents is revealed the 6th July....

Next page is one I did around the start of the month but have kept forgetting on uploading.....my June Monthly Challenge page at Bons! It was a Royal theme and bling.

Products used: Bazzill bling pp, basic grey pp, american crafts rub ons, heidi swapp rub ons, chipboard letters, gold paint, kaisercraft jewels.

I recieved my commissioning letter from Scrapbooking Memories today, my 'Mum taught Me' page is going to be published in Vol 9, Issue no 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other news.......I am keeping up with the Book of ? Challenge at Bons, which I am very proud of :o)

Nothing else at the moment.......will post again soon, after all I will have a bit more spare time over the next 2 weeks :oP

Take care xoxox

Finally finished!! Well sorta

Well I have finally finished my reports, just getting proofread now before putting them in envelopes to go home this Friday! These reports were just excruciating to do because of Victoria's new format of report writing (so bland and in a way unfair to the kiddies)....but they're outta my hair ....for now. Next thing to tackle is Parent teacher interviews on Monday next week, but I always find they go well, luckily!

Onto scrapping, well I have been quite a busy bee this weekend! Saturday night, after Carmen left, I was bout ready for bed. But I hadnt scrapped all weekend so thought I better give it a go! It was 9pm when I started and I crawled into bed at 2am after finishing 3 pages and nearly finishing a mini album!! I was wrapped and the pages came together so quickly!

The first page I did was a page just for fun! Even though I have a few challenges to do for Bons I really wanted to use my new MME papers. So I had a play and heres what I came up with.....

Products used: Bazzill bling cs, My Minds Eye pp, Mustard Moon pp, My Minds Eye title, Basic Grey rub on, Carolees creation paper clip, Sassafrass Lass rub on, Making Memories flower, Kaiser craft jewels.

This next page was for the June 123 Cyber Crop-Challenge 1. I used a sketch from Forever Always (sketch november 06), title 'The Look' Roxette used to be my favourite band when i was younger!! and white cardstock.

Me and one of my good friends at a hens night :) We do not drink as often as we used to and find it hits us a lot quicker, although this piccie is black and white I had the rosie cheeks happening quickly that night!!

Products used: Sassafrass Lass pp, My Minds Eye pp, Heidi Journal tabs, My Minds Eye title, EK Success letter stickers, Doodlebug letter stickers, Queen and Co chip alphabets, Sassafras Lass rub ons, My Minds Eye transparency, Chipboard Arrow.

I also completed another page for my Book of ? challenge at Bons. And I nearly finished a Brag book for a lady at works friend. I have had this little job to do for a while, but was having trouble because I didnt know if the baby was a boy or a girl + I also did not have any pics. What I have ended up doing is putting photo mats on the pages, with embellies around. I hope she likes it! I will post it when its fully done.

I drove mum and my bro and his g/f to Heidleberg today to see my uncle. He has a tumour in his chest, and thankfully it shrunk a little with chemo. However he is having radiation and it is really knocking him around. It was really nice to see them all and he does look well, considering....Hopefully we can make another trip out there soon.

Plans for this week??????

Hoping to catch up with Carmen to scrap one night during the week......and also my aunty and I have booked into a retreat in September!! And we have a Scrap and Chat day with Bons Scraps on July 14th in Belgrave, after booking in we realised we have our retreat in Daylesford is the next w/end, oh well, its a bit naughty!! But what a better excuse to shop than a retreat!! I always spend up on supplies before them.

So......hoping my body can start to destress now after the last couple of stressful weeks (I do bring a lot of it on myself though!) .....

Take care, and thanks for visiting, if you are reading this you must've!! xoxox

Scrapbook Scene Fundraiser!!!!!!!

Well I am back from the weekend at my aunties and now back into the real world or housework, cooking and reports!!!!!!!!!! Help~!!!!!!!!!!!

Well apart from that little dilema, Mandy and I had a fantastic day at the crop with the Scrapbook Scene. The crop was to raise money for the depression foundation "Beyond Blue". Mandy and I had not been to a crop with this store so we were nervous about what everybody would be like. Silly us!!! They (everyone!) was lovely!!!! And we just had the nicest time.

We arrived in burwood around 9am and went to the kmart across the road before finding our seats at the crop. The room we had to crop in was quite large and everyone had plenty of room to scrap and spread out!

Once we got our seats we started to have a look around. There was a table full of items to be auctioned. I eyed off the new daisy d range (funky large rub ons used in layout below) in one of the packs and decided I HAD to have some. So Mandy and I had to head to their shop, only a few mins away from the crop. $60 later and with my Daisy D pp and rub ons, and some more, we returned to the crop!!!

After a shop, I thought the insiration would be oozing out of me, however it wasnt, and I didnt start getting some things done until well after lunch.

The first page I worked on was for the June 123 challenge, to use polka dots, birds and acrylic stamps. I used polka dot pp, bird rubs ons and star looking/fourish stamps in the bottom left corner of my page.

I thought my new Daisy D pp and rub ons would be perfect for this challenge and this is the result -

Products used: Daisy D patterned paper, daisy D run on, ek success letter stickers, maya road chipboard swirl, basic grey rub ons, urban lily run on, american craft rub on, kaiser craft jewels, lil davis acrylic stamp, ink.

Just loving the Daisy D stuff! Can you tell?!?!?!?

Next page I worked on was one for Bons Scraps challenge number 3, inspired by Fran.

Products used: Bazzill bling cs, heidi swapp chip letters, basic grey undressed hardware, heidi bling, american crafts rub ons, ek success letter stickers, paint, thread.

I also worked on a Grandma's Brag Book for a lady at work.....its not finished though..quite hard to do when they do not know the sex of the baby and I have NO photos!!

This morning Mandy and I got organised and went into her 'hut' to do some more scrapping.....

I finished the June Monthly challenge at Bons, picture I took turned out badly, so I will upload it soon and try again........And also completed a page for the 'Book of ?' challenge (I cant post any of them on blogger, they're secrets!!, haha).

Well I have to switch my brain off scrapping for the next few nights and get stuck into these reports! I will set aside some time each night though to do something 'scrapping' even if it is just browsing the net!!!

Hope everyone is well, I am still on a MAJOR HIGH after getting my acceptance!!!!!!! :o) That smile wont come off my face for a while!!!!!!!

Take care xoxoxox
