Washington 7th to 9th January

Well, what a busy couple of days we have had. The 7th saw us just arriving into Washington by bus and having a pretty quiet night. The 8th was a day of walking and visiting all the LARGE monuments in Washington... we decided to do a walking tour where the guides work for tips. In Europe we found these tours fantastic as the guides have a genuine interest and passion for the history of the area. Today, we came to the sand conclusion on found the tour incredibly informative. Here is our day in pictures ... Washington monument

Vietnam veterans memorial

Lincoln memorial

Jefferson memorial

Visiting our mates Michelle & Obama

9th Jan Today we got up, had a yummy breakfast in the B & B we're staying at and headed into the city of Washington. We decided to go see the Whitehouse in the daylight

Wandered past the National Treasury

To the American History Museum A Couple of cool things - The first lady dresses

This was stunning, pictures do not do it justice, it was covered in swarkovski crystals too

Seeing these!!! The real ones :)

And then to top the day off we experienced this ...

SNOW!!! We also went into the American - Indian museum while the snow was getting heavier

My last picture of the snow - a lot heavier

Today is pretty much our last day in Washington - tomorrow we head to Orlando - its DisneyWorld time! :) Take care, a scrappy share very soon :) xxxx Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
