January 123 challenge - Live the life you have imagined

A new year and a new challenge at the 123 blog. This months challenge is:

COLOUR = ORANGE

WORD = LIVE

TECHNIQUE = FEATHERS

Here is my layout:
Layout title: Live the life you had imagined

Products Used:

Paper: White card stock, American Craft 'Amy Tangerine' patterned paper.

Embellishments: Cosmo Cricket brad, Studio Calico Stickers, Heidi Swapp mistable banner, Studio Calico bow, American Crafts 'Amy Tangerine' stickers, doily.

Other: Faber Castell Gelatos, Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette Cut files, Tiny attacher and staples, Typewriter, sewing machine and white thread.

I cut the feathers onto some patterned paper and bundled them before adhering them to my page. I love the look of the white on white, so chose to layer also with a Heidi banner and a flourish cut file.

The quote was a file in the Silhouette store that can be found here. I created the background to the file by covering the background in gesso first. Then applying orange tone Gelatos, I simply coloured the area in, then spread them dry with my finger instead of using water as I wanted the colour to remain nice and vibrant, not washed.

Hope this inspires you to give this awesome challenge a go!
Be back soon with some more scrappy shares :)
