I am here today to share a layout for the Hand stitching Gallery in the latest issue of Jot Magazine that you can see here.
I somehow managed to snap this picture of my kiddies where they are both looking, just perfect for the bright colours and theme of this page.
To create the 'sun rays' I used my Heidi Swapp sun ray mask and drew them directly onto the card stock. I then used my Amy Tangerine paper piercer and mat to piece the holes in the rays evenly. Hand stitching the rays in the yellow thread took quite a while but totally worth it when I see the overall finished layout.
Layout Title: You Make me Happy
Paper - Pink Paislee 'Hello Sunshine', American Crafts White card stock.
Embellishments: Pink Paislee Die Cuts and Chipboard pieces, doily, Teresa Collins sticker, Heidi Swapp bulldog clip, white string, yellow thread.
Other: Tiny attacher, staples.
Close up of my embellishment cluster, the Pink Paislee die cuts were perfect for this. I also added a Heidi 'September Skies' binder clip, being a bit bulkier it sits perfectly as these layers are popped up on foam tape.
I was totally loving this acetate tag in the die cut pack and had to incorporate it onto my page. Again I have layered the die cut pieces, popping some up on foam tape and others adhering directly to my page.
A close up of the stitching detail, yep these stitches are perfectly even thanks to the Amy Tangerine stitching tool, templates and mat :)
