Cocoa Vanilla Studio - I love you layout

Hey everyone

Today I am here to share with you my last layout created using the Sugar & Spice Collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I love layered designs but I also love creating simple in design but visually appealing layouts too.  Although it looks super simple it has detail and layers around the main photo.

This cut files are from the A Piece of Cake Designs digital store.

The machine stitching around the page really finished it off for me. I love to add that textural element to my pages and it is so super simple.

Thanks for visiting today. I have been creating up a storm recently and will be sharing lots in the coming weeks.

Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Oh Boy! Layout

Today I am sharing a layout I created using the Flying High collection & the Sugar & Spice collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I decided to challenge myself to create a boy layout using a mixture of both the collections. From the Sugar and Spice collection I chose the cork and yellow papers and embellishments. And from the Flying High collection I used the Blue toned patterned papers and the cork embellishments.

The title 'oh boy' from the Flying High accessory sheet was perfect for this as this layout is documenting my surprise about how quickly my little man is growing up!

I did a lot of fussy cutting in this layout, cutting the stars from one of the patterned papers.

The cork stars worked really well with the star design element I had happening and coordinated with the cork patterned paper in the Sugar & Spice range.

I loved layering the stickers from the Accessory sheets. So much fun!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today :)

Pink Paislee - NSD 2015 Blog Hop

Happy National Scrapbook Weekend!

The Pink Paislee team wants to wish you a fun and creative weekend! Whether you are at home or at a crop this weekend, we would like to share some inspiration with you along with what this holiday means to us! Start at Pink Paislee's blog and let's get this party started!

I have always enjoyed joining in with the NSD festivities each year. There is always lots of inspiration to be found and lots of fun giveaways to enter. Including this one from Pink Paislee :)

To me, NSD is a day to reflect on this hobby and what it has brought to my life. And really to me right now, it is more than just a 'hobby'. It is of course documenting my families life and our stories (which is no.1 to me) but it is also my creative release and a mental break from day to day life a chance for me to take my mummy hat off and be Raquel again. It has turned into a small business for me though my Aussie kit company and also a profession for me with magazine commissions and articles that I write. I love everything about it, the prettiness of the papers and embellishments, the happiness I get when I create and work with gorgeous products and the friendships I have made; both online and in real life. There is just so much to celebrate about this fantastic hobby and I hope you take some time this weekend to reflect on what it has brought to your life and how it has enriched it :)

Today I am sharing a layout I created with the gorgeous Citrus Bliss collection.

Layout title: The Sweet Life

I just adore this photo of my hubby and kids. I just knew as soon as I took it that this photo was special even just looking at it makes my heart melt. There was nothing that I necessarily wanted to journal about on this page as I felt the photo says it all. The looks on their faces, the way they are sitting together just says 'love' to me, and that is what I wanted to document.

The frames in the chipboard pack were a main part of the layout design of this page. I backed two of the frames; one in acetate from the Insta Pack and the other with the scrumptious gold pineapple vellum.

It was the first time I had used the white glittered foam stickers and I totally love them. They adhere so well and made a quick and effective title for my page.

The veneer are such an easy thing to add to any page too and with a variety of icons and elements, I made a choice for this page with ease. The engraved ampersand was my fave!
