I had been pondering the Gold World Transparency in the Atlas collection for some time, trying to think of an idea for how I could use such a design. Hubby and I travelled a lot pre-children, so yes I could have used it for travel photos but I wanted to do something a little different. I decided to use my good old maths compass to draw a circle shape onto the transparency. I then cut it out and backed it onto a white piece of card stock so the image was not lost.
I created the photo mat layers by using a combination of plain vellum, patterned paper, the Insta Cards, Travel Tags, chipboard stickers and ephemera. I used foam dots on the smaller picture to pop it off the page. I love creating detailed layers such as this, its a great way to add lots of detail to your pages. I finished the tags with some crochet thread.
Now seriously!?! How awesome are these Thickers in this Atlas collection. Gold AND holographic! No way! Totally genius behind the masterminds at Pink Paislee. These worked great with this gold transparency too.
Some more details: lots of layers to be seen.
Don’t you just love the puffy stickers and enamel shapes in the Atlas collection? I could seriously have a packet full of just the cute little stars.
I wanted to softened the grey stripe patterned paper in the collection so I have actually adhered a whole piece of vellum over the entire piece of paper. I liked the softened effect it gave and it was easy to adhere in the centre as I knew it was going to be covered by the map. I added photo corners to the top right and bottom left corners and this was a tool used to draw your eyes back into the page and the subject of my photos.
