Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Flying High Collection; That's my Boy

Hey everyone

I'm here today to share with you a layout I put together using the Flying High collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

When creating this layout I was trying to keep the design nice and clean with the circles. However, when you look closely at the circles created with the patterned papers, you will see the layers contained within and the clusters of embellishments.

The photos I have scrapbooked are ones I took of my lil man at about 6 months old. He is such a smiley photogenic little man so I can't help but get a little bit snap happy. Then, the result is that I want to scrapbook them all!

Wowee …. my amazing news…..Pink Paislee!

I can barely even believe what I am typing right now. I feel so amazingly lucky to have been chosen to join this amazing team and I thank Rebecca and the team at Pink Paislee for taking a chance on me and choosing me to be a Pink Paislee Maker :) I love Pink Paislee products and hope that I can inspire followers with my creations.
Here are the girls I am joining on the team. It just makes me feel so incredibly proud to be listed amongst these names, many of these scrappers I have admired and looked up to in this industry. Just amazing, pinch me someone!

*I have linked all the girls blogs below so you can visit them and see their amazing work*

Receiving the news surely would have been a sight to see, I think I laughed with disbelief, nearly cried and read and reread the email to make sure it was saying what I think it was.

Then reality hit when I got a generous box of goodies a handful of days later, yep that email was meant for me and was happening!

I am looking forward to getting stuck into this box of goodies and beginning to share my creations with you all

Hey Everyone

Today I am here to share with you a closer look at the Sugar and Spice collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. Being a new manufacturer I thought not a lot of people would have an opportunity to see the collections in detail until they start popping up in LSS'. So while my household was semi-quiet I took the opportunity to film a clip showing you the collections.

Here's the first collection I am sharing

This clip shows the entire Sugar and Spice collection.

Enjoy!

February Jot Mood Board - Our Story

I found this mood board so inspiring. After seeing it I immediately wanted to delve into my stash and find coordinating products. I loved the black and white stripe, the book paper and florals, the glitter from the cushion and the pops of red. I chose to use the square cookie as my main inspiration and that supported me choosing the frames to add to the page, particularly the frame with the heart inside it. And of course what is a 'love themed' mood board without a love themed page? So I have documented the story of hubby and I.

Here's my page:

Layout title - Our Story

Products Used:
Cardstock: White, plain vellum
Paper: Maggie Holmes, Pink Paislee
Embellishments: Maggie Holmes Thickers, stickers, die cuts, glitter tape, bow, rub ons and vellum pieces, Pink Paislee Chipboard pieces, Shimelle heart sticker, enamel dots, doily, white cotton
Other: tiny attacher and staples, sewing machine, white thread, typewriter, Shimelle date stamp

The journaling close up; our story.

I love how dimensional projects can be by layering and adding foam tape.

A top cluster helped balance the triangle in the bottom left corner. I tried to include all colourings within this cluster and a variety of textures.

The frames were the main inspiration I took from the Mood Board, as I thought they were shaped just like the cookies and I added the red 'Pink Paislee' chipboard heart to the centre of it like the cookie had a heart in the center.

More layer detail.

Make sure you pop over to the Jot Blog and check out the challenge. The sponsor is Scrappy Canary with a $20 voucher to their store.

I'll be back soon with more scrappy shares and some exciting news!

My intro is on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Blog today!

You can see my introduction to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Team on their blog today here

I am so very humbled and feeling a bit teary by the lovely words from Zoe regarding my scrapbooking on the blog. I never consider myself to have fans of my scrapbooking and to be given that validation is truly refreshing. I scrapbook for myself and my kids so to know that others appreciate my projects is just lovely. If you are reading this Zoe, thank you x
