I treasure You - Sassy Scrapper March Mood Board

Today I am here to share a layout created for the March mood board at Sassy Scrappers. I got my entry in just in time, but I couldn't pass this one and not create something inspired by it. It is just too gorgeous!

I was inspired by the floral elements, especially the 'poppy' looking ones in the middle and of course that stunning colour palette.

I used a mixture of the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes 'Confetti' range and the Crate Craft Market range. Just perfect for these colourings. Most of my page contents came from the February Main Cake Kit from APOCD.

Here's my layout:

Jot Magazine - Issue 9; Hand stitching Gallery

Hey everyone

I am here today to share a layout for the Hand stitching Gallery in the latest issue of Jot Magazine that you can see here

I somehow managed to snap this picture of my kiddies where they are both looking, just perfect for the bright colours and theme of this page.

To create the 'sun rays' I used my Heidi Swapp sun ray mask and drew them directly onto the card stock. I then used my Amy Tangerine paper piercer and mat to piece the holes in the rays evenly. Hand stitching the rays in the yellow thread took quite a while but totally worth it when I see the overall finished layout.

Layout Title: You Make me Happy

Products Used:
Paper - Pink Paislee 'Hello Sunshine', American Crafts White card stock.
Embellishments: Pink Paislee Die Cuts and Chipboard pieces, doily, Teresa Collins sticker, Heidi Swapp bulldog clip, white string, yellow thread.
Other: Tiny attacher, staples.

Close up of my embellishment cluster, the Pink Paislee die cuts were perfect for this. I also added a Heidi 'September Skies' binder clip, being a bit bulkier it sits perfectly as these layers are popped up on foam tape.

I was totally loving this acetate tag in the die cut pack and had to incorporate it onto my page. Again I have layered the die cut pieces, popping some up on foam tape and others adhering directly to my page.

A close up of the stitching detail, yep these stitches are perfectly even thanks to the Amy Tangerine stitching tool, templates and mat :)

Overview of main focus of the page

Thanks for popping by and visiting my blog today. I hope I have inspired you to bring out those embroidery threads and needles and get stitching on your pages!

Jot Magazine - Issue 9; Babies Gallery

Today I am here to share with you my layout for the 'Babies' gallery in the current issue of Jot Magazine.  I used my January Cupcake Kit from A Piece of Cake Designs which is now sold out in the store.

You can find the latest Jot Magazine on the site here with my little cuties on the cover

Layout title: 1 Month

Products Used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye Patterned Papers, White Card stock.
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye die cut pack, Basic Grey Alphabet stickers, doily, white string, A Piece of Cake Designs cork tag.
Other: sewing machine, white thread, tiny attacher and staples, date stamp, black ink.

I added stitching to some of the die cuts to add a little texture.

The exclusive cork tag and a tag from the die cut pack made the cutest little embellishment layer. I put foam tape under some die cuts to add further dimension.

This top left cluster is a layer of die cut pieces, I added a little bow tied with string there too.

An overview of the dimension on the layout and the die cut pieces.

Thanks for visiting the blog today. I will be sharing more from the current issue of Jot Magazine soon.

Pink Paislee - I'm so Lucky!; My first project share

Hey everyone,

Today I'm here to share with you a little St Patrick's Day gift idea for a loved one that I created this week for Pink Paislee. You can visit the post and see the full project here and all about how and why I created it.

I have mainly used the lovely Citrus Bliss collection which as you can see from this St Pat themed project just how versatile it is!  I also used a shamrock and Silhouette phrases cut file set from the Silhouette store.

I thought the lottery tickets were a nice inclusion to the gift, will be a bigger bonus to win hey!

Can't think St Pat's without a pot of gold coins, I have adapted this idea with a super cute gold foiled paper bag by American Crafts.

I hope you have enjoyed my first project for that I created for the Pink Paislee blog, I was quite nervous prior to posting it. I am so grateful for being able to represent such an amazing and respected company in this industry.

Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!

Jot Magazine - Issue 9; Cut Files Showcase

Today I am here to share a layout that was included in the latest issue of Jot Magazine, issue #9. The showcase was a feature on 'Cut Files'.

You can read the magazine here incase you haven't seen it yet, be sure to grab a cuppa whilst reading, its a good one!

It was only natural that I choose a digital cut file available in my store, A Piece of Cake Designs. I was inspired by this butterfly cut file designed exclusively for APOCD by JCChris Design. I love the whimsical and beautiful feel to it and knew that teamed with the Heidi Swapp paper, the cut file would really pop.

The subject in the photo has special meaning to both my husband in his childhood and myself. It is also where he 'popped the question' as it was so significant to both of us. Now we are making sure that our children visit this special place by creating memories there with them.

Here is the cut file I used, isn't it just the sweetest:

And my layout:

Layout title: Our Happy Place

SUPPLIES | CARDSTOCK: American Crafts white. PAPER: Heidi Swapp. CUT FILES: A Piece of Cake Designs/JCChris Design. EMBELLISHMENTS: Heidi Swapp Ephemera, Maggie Holmes Rub ons, Teresa Collins Stickers, doily. OTHER: Silhouette Cameo, sewing machine, white thread, tiny attacher, staples, white string.

Some close ups of the sub title and cut file detail

I just love how the Heidi ephemera pop off the page. And this rub on by Maggie Holmes was just the perfect wording…

The title was based on this Heidi Swapp ephemera tag, I loved layering the pieces from the packet.

And overall detail of the cut file on the layout .

Thanks for coming past my blog today, I hope this has inspired you to break out those cutting machines and get cutting!

Don't forget to check out Jot Magazine, to read the latest FREE issue!
