Cocoa Vanilla Studio - 4 Months

Hey everyone, I'm here today to share with you the first layout I have created using the ‘Made of Awesome’ collection  by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I decided to document one of the monthly photos I take of my little man. I chose and sorted through the collection and sat aside any black/grey/white toned elements as that was the colour palette I wanted to work with.

I used the accessory stickers and new to Cocoa Vanilla ephemera, enamel dots and sequins.

A little tip is to cut any die cuts in half when you are layering and clustering, you can see I have added the other half of the journal spot and the bingo card to another cluster I created on this page.

I have teamed the cluster below with the latest release from Kellie Stamps 'This is my Jam'

Here you can see the other half of those ephemera pieces. The star flair was the perfect finishing touch.

I love a vertical page design layout. I find with a vertical design I need to still remember to maintain balance on the layout hence my top left and then bottom right clusters, so the layout is not ‘too heavy’ on one side. The clusters also work as a bit of an anchor to draw your eyes back into the photo and the journaling.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. There will be more to share soon :)

Jot Magazine - "I Making Mummy"

Today I am here to share my last layout that was featured in the current issue of Jot Magazine

For this one the gallery was all about Storytelling 'the things they say' - I decided to document what my little girl says every time that she wants to create with me.

The Pinkfresh Studio 'up in the clouds' collection has an 'animated style' and I thought worked well for this theme.

Some of the die cuts were adhered with foam to allow them to pop.

The journaling ….

I loved these thickers for the title, I used a few M's!

Well this layout concludes my Jot Magazine shares for Issue 10. I hope you have enjoyed looking at them :)

Jot Magazine - Hooray it's Party Time

Another Jot share for you today…you can see the magazine here

The Confetti collection by Crate Paper was totally the perfect collection for documenting my little girls birthday party! The colours and the elements within were just spot on and I was so wrapped to get my hands on it! I decided to go for a bit of a vertical design for this one.

There is a mixture of chipboard, stickers and ephemera on this page…oh and patterned paper too of course!

The little cake platter chippy piece was perfect to rest my photo on…I added a die cut bow to it on a thin foam tape.

The flag I made with a piece from the die cut sheet and a toothpick from my kitchen! Gives the look of the flags that have been included in the recent collections without the price tag :)

My last Jot share will be here soon, I hope you have had a chance to check the mag out and see what the other Jot Girls and contributors have created!

Pink Paislee - He is Our World….documenting love!

Hey everyone! I'm here to share my latest layout all about that man in my little families life; my hubby and great father to my kiddies. It is very rare for me to scrapbook hubby unless it is a photo from our wedding or I have managed to snap a selfie, as he is not one to like being a subject in photos. But I managed to convince him to let me take a picture prior to completing this project. I don’t think he realises how much we love and appreciate all that he does for us, so it is always nice making Fathers Day super special for him. In Australia, we celebrate Fathers Day in September so instead of making a gift now, I thought it would be a perfect time to document how much he means to us.

I had been pondering the Gold World Transparency in the Atlas collection for some time, trying to think of an idea for how I could use such a design. Hubby and I travelled a lot pre-children, so yes I could have used it for travel photos but I wanted to do something a little different. I decided to use my good old maths compass to draw a circle shape onto the transparency. I then cut it out and backed it onto a white piece of card stock so the image was not lost.

I created the photo mat layers by using a combination of plain vellum, patterned paper, the Insta Cards, Travel Tags, chipboard stickers and ephemera. I used foam dots on the smaller picture to pop it off the page. I love creating detailed layers such as this, its a great way to add lots of detail to your pages. I finished the tags with some crochet thread.

Now seriously!?! How awesome are these Thickers in this Atlas collection. Gold AND holographic! No way! Totally genius behind the masterminds at Pink Paislee. These worked great with this gold transparency too.

Some more details: lots of layers to be seen.

Don’t you just love the puffy stickers and enamel shapes in the Atlas collection? I could seriously have a packet full of just the cute little stars.

I wanted to softened the grey stripe patterned paper in the collection so I have actually adhered a whole piece of vellum over the entire piece of paper. I liked the softened effect it gave and it was easy to adhere in the centre as I knew it was going to be covered by the map. I added photo corners to the top right and bottom left corners and this was a tool used to draw your eyes back into the page and the subject of my photos.

Jot Magazine - A holiday layout using Pink Paislee

Today I am here to share another layout from the current issue of Jot Magazine which you can see here

This layout was all about holidays - so I used this as an opportunity to delve into our honeymoon photos and scrap a moment from that. And a memorable one it was!

We had the most amazing trip to the Canyon, visiting it via a helicopter. We had cheese and champagne when we landed. Could it have been any more perfect!?!

The Pink Paislee thickers were perfect for this 'round title' I wanted to achieve.

A close up of the journaling ...

I will be back very soon with another layout to share from the current issue :)

Jot Magazine - Love you

Today I am here to share a layout that can be seen in the latest Issue of Jot Magazine. You can see it here

I loved this selfie of my boy and I and knew I just had to document it! What a cutie hey! The Hello Beautiful planner range by Heidi Swapp worked great with this soft black and white photo.

I love layering patterned papers - stitching some edges adds a nice detail.

I applied whipped spackle to the background for some extra texture through one of my favourite Crafters Workshop stencils.

The cut file I used below is from A Piece of Cake Designs and is available now for immediate download.

Don't forget to check out the new issue!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio - New collection 'Hello Lovely!

Hey everyone

Today I am here to share a layout I created using the new Hello Lovely collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. Totally gorgeous collection isn't it.

When creating this layout I really didn't know what to begin with as it was all so gorgeous So I decided to start with the ephemera pack, which is choc full of gorgeous icons and images!

The colours in the photo I have scrapped was perfect for this collection! I chose to document my daughter loving her new tent she received for christmas from her Nanny.

The tag was cut from the journaling cards cut apart sheet and was perfect for my title. I also LOVE the alpha stickers in this collection, so beautiful!

Don't forget to check out what the other designers are creating with the new collections over on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog
