Here is the layout I created:
My inspiration behind this layout was to create a cover page for a travel themed scrapbooking album. Pre-children my hubby and I did extensive travel and lived, travelled Europe, and worked in London. Of late, in the month of June, I also did quite a bit of travel to different scrapbooking events teaching and also being an attendee. I wanted to have a cover page that was quite generic and that could suit documenting multiple different travels. The main feature of the page is a cut file that I backed with one of the Outfitters papers. I loved the blue/grey tones in the paper and thought it would be perfect to go behind the globe. The globe is a free cut file which can be downloaded here.
I am absolutely in love with the Thickers in the Outfitters collection. They are copper foiled and just amazing to use. What a statement they make on your pages!

I follow the design idea of visual triangles on my layouts. I needed my third point of the triangle so I created a small layered detail on the globe stand. This ‘get outside and enjoy the view’ and ‘today’ were cut from the cut apart sheet in the collection. I added a copper foil clear arrow sticker pointing towards the text to act as a tool to direct your eye to it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
