Pink Paislee - 2 cards with C'est La Vie

Hello everyone, I'm here with you today to share a couple of cards I made using the gorgeous Pink Paislee collection. With the theme 'spring' in mind I think florals so the C'est La Vie collection was just perfect.

 


 I created two 4x6" in size cards from white card stock. I then gathered my goodies from C'est La Vie and knew I wanted to focus on using some of the acetate cut apart sheet within the design.

 

For the first card, I used the Hello 4x6" piece on the acetate sheet. To help the 'hello' text pop more I backed it with a small piece of white card stock. This meant that it didn't face into the patterned triangle print of the matting paper. I simply finished the card by layering a 4" doily and then added a small banner cluster, an ampersand die cut and one of the stunning mirror words in 'hello'.

 

This second card combines a number of different elements. At the bottom of the layers is a 4" in size doily perfect for cards, layered on top of that is a 3x4" acetate card, a tag from the ephemera pack, a tag handmade from a patterned paper and then the 'bravo' word strip also cut from a patterned paper. The 3x4 card had the most beautiful floral design which I just had to have feature on this design. I finished the card with a triangular corner and a cork heart, just to draw your attention back in to the main part of the card.
 


Here are the cards together, what a perfect little card to gift to a friend as a congratulations or even to write a sentimental thank you message. Its always nice to let someone know we care when they are least expecting it or when they need it most.

Hey everyone, I'm here with you today sharing a new layout in I created for Pink Paislee.  For todays projects I decided to delve back into my Bella Rouge collection and document my love of scrapbooking. This is a topic I haven't created a layout on for some time, so I thought now was a great opportunity.

 

 The photo on my layout was a pic that I snapped using a timer app on my phone. I love how easy our phones make taking and editing photos now. I prepared the base prior to starting the page with machine stitching in a large circle.



 To begin with I surrounded myself with all the gorgeous goodies in the collection; the papers, the embellishments, die cuts etc. Having all embellishments in view definitely helps my creative process.



 I fussy cut those flowers from one of the papers in the collection. It was one of those papers that was screaming to this non-ruffy cutter to fussy cut! Yeah, you know the ones! I then made an embellishment cluster containing a small 4" doily from my stash, a tag and labels from the ephemera, some chipboard and a couple of the gorgeous silver glitter puffy stickers. So much goodness layered in that one cluster.


 I knew I definitely wanted to document on this page, so I used my typewriter to add my thoughts and added it to the page in strips.



 I also created a cluster on the top left of the page. Again, a combination of the fussy cut flowers and embellishments in the collection.

I die cut the title 'create' using my silhouette machine and papers from the 6x6 paper pad. The Sticky Thumb foam dots from American Crafts were the perfect depth to help the title pop off the page.

I hope this layout has shown you how this older collection Bella Rouge is still just as beautiful to play with as it was when it was released.

Fairy Bread using Free Spirit - Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hey everyone,
I'm here today with a layout using the ever gorgeous Free Spirit collection. I just adore the Free Spirit collection and as I was browsing through my photos I knew it would be perfect to document this little moment.

My little girl does fairy dancing every week and we have done so since she was one year old and first walking. She just adores it and at the time of the photo we had begun a little tradition of fairy bread for lunch once we returned home. It is a nice little treat and a special tradition to begin. After all it is the little things like this that children remember.

 I focused on a vertical design, with two triangular elements on either side which draw your attention inwards. A similar design which I had used recently in a previous layout.

 

I decided to scatter embellishments from the top to the bottom of the page. I used a combination of ephemera, stickers, woodies and enamel shapes. Some I adhered straight to the page, and some using foam dots.
 

The photo are layered on some white card stock, a doily, the pink triangular print and the text paper. I added foam to the bottom of the photo layer to help it pop off the page a little.
 

The 'noted' tab at the top of the photos is from the ephemera pack and simply attached with a staple. I also used the orange border sticker under the photos with the 'I love you to the moon stars and back ' sentiment.
 

My journaling was done in my usual way of typing on my typewriter.
 

I continued the embellishments flowing vertically to the bottom of the page. Again using a combination of stickers, ephemera, wood veneer, woodies and enamel shapes.
 

I finished the page with a nice little splatter of blush colour shine. I hope this has inspired you today. Be sure to check out my You Tube channel for a process video of this layout .

Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Our Totally Rad Hometown

Hey everyone, Today I am here to share a layout I created for Cocoa Vanilla Studio using the awesome new collection called Totally Rad! 

I decided to document our hometown as I know that it is under appreciated and since travelling overseas it has made me realise just how beautiful it is. 

I decided to use a lot of the acetate stars on this layout. They are such a beautiful design and adhere to the page with a clear glue or a staple for added texture.

Jot Magazine - Numbers Gallery; You are One!

Hey everyone, another Jot share with you today from Issue 13. This one was for the numbers gallery. You can see the whole issue here 

I decided to create a number focus on my layout by having a play around with the text of the word 'one' on my cameo and using the 'o' to frame a picture of my son at 1 year old. I created this with the Wonder collection by Crate Paper.

Jot Magazine - March Mood Board

Hey everyone, 

Today I am here to share the latest Jot Magazine mood board with you and my layout inspired by this board. 

For this layout I was inspired by the colour palette and also the arrows and the triangle print on the woodgrain clock.

I decided to document a layout about our little puppy and how lucky we are to have her as part of our little family.

 I used the Amy Tangerine 'Finders Keepers' collection for this layout. The colours were perfect for this mood board.

I fussy cut the florals from one of the patterned papers. Those cute puffy arrows are just like the arrows in one of the images. 

I journaled using my typewriter. I added a vertical row of stitching for added interest. 

The ephemera pack had so many fun elements to layer :)

Each of the triangles were stitched just for a bit of texture. 

The behind the photo were mainly 4x6 or 3x4" cards from one of the cut apart sheets. I used an older Amy Tangerine phrase thicker pack for the title.
