Here is the layout I created: I created the cut file ‘2018’ feature using my Silhouette software and the font ‘Bebas’, which is one of my fave fonts to use when cutting out numbers and capital letters. I used a photo of myself in the “0” space and backed the rest of the file with soft patterned papers in the Turn the Page collection.
I used stickers from the Paige Evans sticker book to embellish the page, the florals were the same as on the bordering patterned Paper #02. The theme of new beginnings in the Turn the Page collection was also a perfect one for a new years resolution theme. After I backed the 2018 I felt it still needed something more added to it, that was when I decided to hand stitch in coordinating colours around the border of each letter. I love how that turned out, it really helps them pop.
2017 was a tough year for me, so I must admit I was looking forward to the new start and feeling of a new year. A chance to refresh and refocus on what I want to achieve for the year. To add my resolution I clustered various embellishments like the clear stickers and icons from the Sticker Book and journaling spots from the Journal Spot pack. I also added some fussy cut butterflies and chipboard stars.
So that’s it from me today! I hope my layout has inspired you to get that 2018 goal or resolution down and documented. Thanks for stopping by the blog today, Raquel x
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
