You Saved Me - Totally Rad by Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hey everyone, I'm here today with a new layout to share featuring the Totally Rad collection. On this layout I wanted my main feature to be my journaling which is lyrics from an Adele song, and my photo of course.

To create the journaled background I typed the lyrics onto my cutting software and cut it out on white card stock. I then backed the majority of the journalling using the Stellar paper and the line ‘you saved me’ with the blue portion of the Line Up patterned paper. The below layout was the result.

I created a small cluster to the left of the photo, I added a combination of the acetate stars, a star from the bits and pieces pack, a woodie and an enamel dot. For the star shapes I simply stapled them to the page to adhere.

There were multiple layers behind the photo. This was mainly a combination of papers and ephemera. I created multiple layers due to the fact that the rest of the layout was quite minimal I wanted to add details to the photo mat. I topped the right side of the mat with the cute peg from the Bits & Pieces and a wood veneer geotag.
yousavedme-6You can see the layers in more detail from the below photo. I added a paper clip from the paperclip pack to the bottom of the photo mat. Just to add another piece to the layers. You may also notice that I always print my photos with a white border. This breaks up and gives a neutral mat to a photo allowing me to choose a busy patterned paper as the first layer behind the photo.

The cutting machine cut a beautiful crisp font allowing me to back it with the patterned papers without needing to add anything to it.

To draw your attention inwards I added a corner to the top left of the photo. This has a cut apart label, a bits & pieces star, wood veneer and an enamel shapes.

I hope you have enjoyed this post today and found this alternate design inspiring.
