Almost Four with Boys Rule by Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hey everyone, I'm here with you today sharing a fun new layout with you today. I can hardly believe it but my little man Jack turned four on Monday last week. The week before his birthday I took a couple of photos of him while still 3, to document my disbelief that my prince is going to be four soon. He will always be my little baby but boy he is acting more grown up each day and looking it too! I decided to document this photo in a fun way and wanted to use the new amazing Boy’s Rule collection to capture the memories.

I will admit, I had the concept for this page in my head before I had even taken the photo. I had an idea that I wanted to document a birthday related page that looked like he was holding a balloon. So I asked him to pose like he was holding a balloon of course! Aren’t these the sorts of things all us scrapbookers do?!? haha. Anyways, once I had the photo I looked online in the Silhouette store for a balloon cut file. I found the perfect one for my idea and cut that out using white card stock. I was able to cut the outline of my son from the photo and then cut two small slits in his hands to weave the balloon string through. I love how this turned out!
